Purpose and scope of extraction line.

Appointment of extraction line.

It used to obtain various plant extracts (usually) a raw material for further manufacturing of dosage forms, foods, dyes, etc.

The principle of operation is based on the extraction of raw materials in various solutions with subsequent averaging (blending), and concentrating the resulting solution to produce the product with high content of extractables.

Apparatus extraction line.

The line consists of the following units:

1.  Water - water treatment capacity to the volume calculated for the production of a specific taken on the processing capacity of raw materials. Filters for coarse and fine purification of water.

The operating principle of the extraction line:

The prepared raw material to be extracted is loaded into a stainless mesh basket or perforated sheet (depending on the type of raw material), it is placed in the extraction vessel and is filled with treated water or a solution. It is heated whereby extractives gives raw water or solution. The heating temperature and time of extraction varies for each specific type of feed and is determined by a technologist. The resulting solution is pumped through the filter cartridge in the blending tank.

For some types of extracted raw materials digestion process can be repeated several times, and the resulting solution is averaged in the blending tank prior to further concentration in the vacuum evaporation installation.
